Neuigkeiten zum Quellcode

#1 Ungelesener Beitrag von Michael H.W. Weber » 10.06.2002 09:28

"Our biggest problem with releasing source is making sure our security is not compromised. With our move to PKI, this becomes less of a problem. After Guha finishes porting Gromacs to F@H, I'll get him moving on getting the code ready for an Open Source release. I'm not sure whether we'll release it as GPL or a license more like Cosm, but we're looking into that. Keep in mind that Stanford owns the source, not me!

Vijay"

"JUst one more point. I should emphasize that if we can't figure out a good way to handle security under an open source license, we won't release the source. We have some ideas and we're much rather put effort into the science code than the rest. however, releasing the code could be a nightmare if we can't get the security part worked out.

Vijay"
