F@H und ClimatePrediction bald bei BOINC

Hi !

scheint als F@H and CP bald zu BOINC portieren und somit noch mehr user gewinnen können. Auch Nano@home überlegt ob sie nicht zu deren wechseln, aber die entwickler sind noch nicht einig.

hier ein statement vom BOINC-entwickler Eric:

There are several other projects looking at BOINC. When I left Berkeley a couple months ago, we were talking with Folding@home and climateprediction.net about porting their programs to BOINC (we actually got a basic version of Folding@home running on BOINC in a couple hours). I recall a zoology experiment was also interested, and I was talking to someone at U. Wisc. Madison and UC San Diego about setting up BOINC servers. I would bet there are at least 1 or 2 others that I don't know about.

Also bei FAH ist BOINC schon seit über einem Jahr im Gespräch. In jedem Fall wird auch die jetztige Client-Server-Struktur parallel weiterlaufen. Aber das nur am Rande...
