LarsDear Community Members!
We have reached a point where we are ready to transfer the system from Sengent in Florida to The Rothberg Institute in Guilford Connecticut. This migration will be to hardware that is at least a generation faster and better than the old server and will hopefully improve up-times and enable us to change the number of WU's that a client can download at a time.
The amount of data that needs to be transferred exceeds both our and Sengent connectivity capabilities. Ken Weilbacher will physically fly to Florida to transfer the data and bring it back to the Institute.
This migration coincides with network reconfiguration that will happen this coming weekend (March 29-30th). Since this network related work will probably influence availability of the servers we have decided to do the transfer at the same time. We will keep the servers running for as long as possible, but when they go down, we will not be able to bring them back up until the system is running at the Institute. Ken will be back in Guilford on Tuesday afternoon and we will work very hard to get the server up and running by Wednesday evening. An hour by hour update will be posted in the Forum on Wednesday to keep the Community informed of any progress or delays.
I would like to thank all community members for their continued support and hope to welcome you by this time next Wednesday on the new servers housed at the Rothberg Institute.
If you have any question, concerns or comments, please feel free to post them in the Technical Question forum or e-mail them to us at: support@childhooddiseases.org
Best regards
Wolfgang Hinz
