Voraussichtlich nächstes Wochenende wird es neue GPU-WUs geben, mit längerer Laufzeit und geringeren Verfügbarkeitsproblemen,
News vom 11.04.2009:
- "GPU Project Status
So I've been working on making the new project specifically for GPUs. This is will alleviate the no work situation because we will be giving much longer workunits to GPU clients. However, I've discovered a bug in a python script that was made when compiling. I need labstaff to give me permission to overwrite the file, but am not sure they work on weekends. So hopefully by early next week we can have a new project up! "

- "The GPU version of milkyway is going to farm more complex calculations to the application (gradient/hessian/line search calculations) which will let them do more "local" searches. This should increase the WU size of the GPU application by 300-1000 times what they currently are, significantly decrease server load, and also reduce the network usage of these clients."
