Moin Pascal...

C:\Programme\Communitytsc\Tsc\Res\Data\Taskdata\structs

1. Installation: C:\Programme\TSC1\....
2. Installation: C:\Programme\TSC2\....

The following is based on two Windows machines but as far as I know the directory structure is the same with Solaris so it should work. This is just a copy of what I sent someone else so it will not match up perfectly with your situation but you will get a good idea of what to do.

__________

Running D2OL on offline machines is not that hard to do. All you need to be concerned about is the 'res' folder.

Like I said all you need be concerned about is the ‘res’ folder. After you install D2OL on the new offline box go ahead and shut down D2OL. Now go to a current box running D2OL and bring up the GUI. Set the queue for whatever you want the offline box to be, I would do 2,000 since it is offline. Now set this box offline so it does not connect when you turn it back on and exit out of the client completely. Navigate to ‘C:\Program Files\SengentD2OL\D2OL’, there you will see the ‘res’ folder. Go ahead and copy and paste it to the desktop or wherever.

Now go back to the ‘C:\Program Files\SengentD2OL\D2OL\res’ folder and delete two files. They are named tasks.dat, resultQueue.dat. Go up one folder and start the client via the D2OL.EXE icon. The client should start up and it should just sit there doing nothing. The Agent should display 0 Tasks Assigned and 0 Results to Upload, as you deleted those two files. You will still have tasks downloaded. Open up ‘Status’ and do a ‘Flush All Tasks’, this will delete your current queue of work, but don’t worry we backed all of them up on the desktop remember. You will need to ‘Stop Tasks’ before you do this, which is the button next to the on/off button.

Now that you have an empty queue and no results, go ahead and turn the Agent back online and do a ’Manual Update’ and download the 2,000 candidates. After this is done exit out of D2OL and close it down completely. Navigate to the ‘C:\Program Files\SengentD2OL\D2OL’ folder and again CUT the ‘res’ folder, and put it in a different location than the original ‘res’ folder. Cut and paste the first ‘res’ folder back into the ‘C:\Program Files\SengentD2OL\D2OL’ directory and you can start D2OL again and it should be back to the way it was before we started this. Now take the new ‘res’ folder and burn it to a CD. Take this CD to the offline box and copy the ‘res’ folder to the ‘C:\Program Files\SengentD2OL\D2OL’ directory on the offline box and start it up. You should have a new Node ID number and a queue of 2,000.

I do not know how large the resultQueue.dat file will be for 2,000 candidates. I am going to make an educated guess of less than 10MB. You will need to get this file back to your main computer to upload it. When they are done just kill D2OL and grab the resultQueue.dat file. Go to the online computer and again kill D2OL, but only after you have done a ‘Manual Update to upload all of your completed work from this machine. Copy over the resultQueue.dat file to the ‘res’ folder, it should ask if you want to overwrite the current one, just ok it. Start up D2OL and it will find the new resultQueue.dat file and upload the completed candidates inside of it.

Does this make since? Really it only takes about one minute to do; I just detailed it a bit. Of course the actual download will take a bit of time but the actions will just take the minute. I think once you do it you will see how easy it is to do.
