Re: Badges
[quote="IPHARDIT"]How many wu/credits does it take to earn a badge?

It took me many months to get a silver badge :) . I can see it will take another couple of years running Yoyo at 100% to reach gold ! Any possibility of 'double silver' (or something similar) :-?

Re: Badges
This is an old thread, but I'd like to join anyway.
Since
a.) Yoyo badges are credit-based rather than CPUtime-based (as WorldCommunityGrid) and,
b.) It takes a factor of 10x from bronze to silver and 50x to gold,
it seems logical and fair that users be awarded 2nd, 3rd, etc. badges on the way to the next level. This could be displayed simply as
2,3 etc. until the silver level is reached and
2,3 etc. until gold is reached.
Not a high priority item, but worth thinking about.

Congratulations. I have seen through the toplist, you're the only user who has all the master badges.
Nice work, Grubix.

Re: Badges
For which amount do you think should we have additional level?
Consider, that the project will run for the next years and that computing power doubles every 18 month.

Re: Badges
I would think 5mil would make a logical next(final?) step. I don't believe anyone has that much on one sub-project yet. call it Grand Master.

Re: Badges
been away awhile, just noticed the new badges, don't think anyone will be maxing them all out for a very long time now.

Re: Badges
That was the idea. yoyo thinks, that it will hopefully take up to 10 years for anyone to get the highest badge.Liuqyn hat geschrieben:been away awhile, just noticed the new badges, don't think anyone will be maxing them all out for a very long time now.

Re: Badges
This is a very old thread but that is not an issue, why create a new one if one already exists?
Plus some of the history of the Badges on this project is talked about here as well.
The reason I resurrected the thread was to crow about getting my First SILVER Badge.
I have just gotten my Silver Badge in EULER with just 2 % of the Euler sub project left to go, so just got in there in time.

(I tried to be clever with by adding some smiley faces but could not get them to work, so being clever took a holiday today)
