Problem work unit

This work unit has been running for 95 hours on my i5 i5-3570 (3.4Ghz). It progressed normally up to about 50 hours of run time, but since then it has been sitting at 100.000% completed but it is still running, using 100% of one CPU core and about 420 MB of ram. I have been letting it run because I know that some work units do sometimes sit at 100% for a while before actually finishing, but it has been sitting at 100% for two days now with no change. I took a look at the stats for the work unit and it appears that many other people have had the same problem with this one since there are 8 machines that went past the deadline without reporting, 4 that aborted, 8 that got errors, and only one that actually reported a completed result after 175 hours (7.3 days) of CPU time.

Let it run. Your deadline is 15 days away. This should be sufficient.

The task did finally complete after almost 6 days of processing time. I'm actually not too concerned about the time to run the task. I just wanted to report that it was sitting at 100% for several days without showing any progress, and I suspect that is why so many people aborted the job. This could cause problems with other jobs if they do the same thing so it might be something that needs to be fixed.

Well, this is a known issue that is unsolvable due to the intrinsic difficulty with predicting the run time.
