Server Problem

Seems to be a problem with the Server / Validator as the amount of Pending Work Units are climbing very fast.

(P.S. Also on a side note although I have uploaded an Avatar and a Signature, which both show under my account and I have selected to add both by default, they do not show when I post, am I missing something?)

Probably, yes. This is not a BOINC message board, did you upload your avatar in the boards user control panel or to your BOINC account?

Your BOINC avatar will show when someone adds you as a friend or if you post to the BOINC message board.



edit : The other thing (climbing pending credits) : I just see "cmsearch_validator boinc Disabled" on the server status page. That should explain it.

I did know about the "user control panel" so I will check it out. Yes I uploaded to the Boinc account.
I was unable to see the server status due to it taking so long to load, hence I was unaware the validator had been turned off but I had guessed it could of been.

Has there been a change to the cmc validator?

I notice a lot of Validate error workunits in the last 18 hours, with most of them in the last 6 hours. These errors are occurring on both tasks that I am running and tasks that are not assigned to me. I went through some of my wingmen's tasks and they are getting a high rate of Validate errors as well. The error rate seems to really have increased since 17 Feb 2010 15:00 UTC.

Hello,
the server (especially the DB) are very busy because of the short work units. The clients are very often requesting new work and returning results. All this is written into the DB. To have the transitioner and validator without any backlog I extended the time between requests to 20 minutes.

I have 30-40 tasks that were completed about a week ago by both quorum members and have not yet validated. The server status page is currently showing zero workunits waiting for validation. Something is not right.
