I had a similar error with all versions and I may have found the problem.
Looking at the exception stack, I saw the exception occured during the call of the Parse function to get a double number from a string.
BUT with the .NET Framework, you must remember that unless otherwise specified, the string <=> double conversions will use the local/country settings.
So I got an exception because the number US people would write 1,234.56 is written 1.234,56 in France (my country) => the number 1.23 has no meaning in french notation and will generate an exception if you try to parse the string "1.23" to get the corresponding number.
There's a simple and efficient solution to solve this problem. In C# you can write the following (I don't know which language you are using) :
using System.Globalization;
using System.Threading;
...
Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture = new CultureInfo( "en-US" );
double d = 1.23;
string s = d.ToString(); // s = "1.23", even for froggies' computers
If you want to restore the original culture :
Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture = CultureInfo.InstalledUICulture;
If you want to apply the culture change only for the call to "ToString" :
s = d.ToString(new CultureInfo( "en-US" ));
Hope that helps
PS : Sorry for bad English and/or poor formatting, huge lack of sleep
