Hello. Wanna ask - why did I get the task today, which need 4046 hours?
It's not possible to calculate this task to 31.01.2014...

So, what should I do? I don't have my notebook running boinc all the time and also I have no expansion unit time... Pls, extend it to me.

Hi,

you are running a cmsearch VM task that is running a Virtual Machine to do checkpointing on your machine. It is also auto extending the deadline so you don't need to worry. You can monitor the deadline on the linked pages. They will automatically extend within the last 14 days, if your computer is running (like shutting it down or rebooting). You can use your computer as usual because the computational progress is saved on a regular basis.

If you are working with a laptop, don't start this WU. It simply is too demanding given this long runtime.

I am new at the project and my first task has a estimated time of 2.117 hours and a deadline of 384 hours. Now I'm at the 0'24% of the task. What I should do? Is it worth continuing? Can you use my partial work?

I thought that somehow the VM WUs had some kind of auto-extension mechanism built in ? Or I'm confused with another projet ? yoyo ?

Anyway this WU is probably not gonna do it, already 9 days of computing, remaining estimate of 77 days and deadline in 10 days... :-/

Deadline is currently the 10th of July on the server. The deadline will only be extended on the server, the client will show only the original deadline. As long as the WU is running and BOINC can send trickles to the server, then the deadline will be updated.
