Cannot get standard cmseach S work

If upload cries, download doesn't smiles.

While some WU keep on aborting their upload (eleven or twelve till now, a bit more than 1% of the total - and the last one is a 14 hours WU), another strange thing's happening.

If in my account preferences I choose not to run the XLL application, I cannot retrieve any work (and I have no more RNA WUs in queue on my PC, not even one):
