I think it is terrible at the moment (last week) to get windows wu's.
Perhaps it is better to bring down the server and correct everything and also create a lot of wu's and then bring it up!
You lose cruncher(s) i think at this moment.
Good luck.

Re: Bring down the server
This is not a bad idea, but it's not that easy. Even if we have the new server(s), we still have to figure out how to improve the settings so it really gets better. E.g. dedicating one a (new) server to WU creation just moves the bottleneck from Disk I/O to bandwidth. We try to solve this, but need a little time. And meanwhile, a little project progress is better than nothing I think - or maybe you are right, maybe satisfying the users is more important in the long term.

Re: Bring down the server
My Linux x64 (only cmcalibrate selected) machine cannot get any work at the moment either. The last task I received was over 14 hours ago and it has now finished all CMC tasks. I also noticed on the system status page that the number of unsent CMC has barely changed in several hours. My machine has even been rebooted to clear any memory that may not have been free. The messages from the RNA server are:ftpd hat geschrieben:Just made my day.

Edit: Of course, less than an hour after posting this, the machine has received some CMC tasks.
