Can anyone explain to me how it is possible to go down with credits/points from more then 9.000 to 6.500 in one weekend?
I was still crunching, but not as much as "normal" due to the unexpected race.

Just want to know!

Presently, all our efforts aim at producing WUs as rapidly as possible, so we have transently disabled certain server functions that just block or slow down WU generation. But do not worry, everything will be put in place again, soon. And all credits will be given as usual.

A some more detailed explanation: The Server has a lot of work generating WUs at the moment. This also slows down validation of finished WUs. This could be the reason for the drop in your RAC. As soon as the server catches up, your RAC will go up again.

That's a kind offer, could you tell us a little more? E.g. did you think of physically handing it over or did you mean giving us remote access to the machine? We already thought of acquiring a second server, but didn't discuss this in greater detail by now.

PS What kind of server(s) do you use now? The RAC is also still falling and points/credits are raising.
I have uploaded in the last 16 hours more then 400 WU cmsearch. The counter on serverstatus says about 210 wu. Difference????
Just 1 WU finished 100% after more than 16 hours but ready for upload after 22 hours. Is there any reason why?

We use a rented system: Intel i7, 12 GB Memory, 2x1.5 TB HDD and Linux OS
The server is very busy and some things take a long time, because the bottleneck are disks<->database.
@tm are the short WUs the problem.
About the details, what happens, you should better ask yoyo (serveradmin).
He can take a deeper look into the system and hopefully answer your questions about the server/WU and more explain.

Hello,

I did not get any answer about my first question.

My RAC went down in two days from 9000 to 6500 aand later this week to 5500.

Any exploination would be kind! Is it the linux-wu or to less windows-wu's (not availabel)?
