How to install the app:
1) If not yet done attach to yoyo@home
2) Shutdown Boinc
3) Download the app and extract the content into projects/www.rechenkraft.net_yoyo
4) start boinc
5) download a evo wu.

Re: evo for linux
started on two linux32 + evolution@home WUs received (evolutionathome 0.01). So they keep running now with:
- wine 1.1.27 / boinc 6.10.17
- wine 1.1.29 / boinc 6.10.24
- wine 1.1.27 / boinc 6.10.17

Re: evo for linux
Is there any way to continue to participate in d.net and ECM and still run evo? They got removed when I followed your installation procedure.
Re: evo for linux
Hello,
on Linux you can't run evo and muon in parallel. I'll investigate if this will be possible.

Re: evo for linux
yoyo is investigating the following:
linux32 with this WU:
<file_xfer_error>
<file_name>evo_A1260989704-56-0_34.3MB_63.84_1_0</file_name>
<error_code>-161</error_code>
</file_xfer_error>
besides this: the known progress bar anomaly (>100%) appears

Re: evo for linux
Hello,
I put now evo and muon in one archive and one app_info.xml. If you extract this in your project folder you should be able to run muon and evo on Linux with Wine.

Re: evo for linux

I have now one PC thats runs evo and muon (and PrimeGrid AP26 @CUDA) at the same time (headless).
Very nice xmas-gift from you. I hope you didn't let your friends and family down for this gift.

Re: evo for linux
Now you can crunch these two under linux, but now boinc under linux isn't getting anymore ogr or ecm wu's.yoyo hat geschrieben: I put now evo and muon in one archive and one app_info.xml. If you extract this in your project folder you should be able to run muon and evo on Linux with Wine.
I think that is, because these apps are not in the app_info.xml

Re: evo for linux
Has anyone got this working on Gentoo 64? Wine keeps failing by looking for the .wine folder in /root/ I tried to create it in /var/lib/boinc, but that just crashed my boinc client. Do I just need to move on or is there a way to get around this?
Re: evo for linux
I don't know how stable WINE64 is actually but a few month ago winehq.org wrote that it is recommended to use 32bit WINE cause WINE64 is not really ready to use.
