ECMNET/en
Languages | • • |
Richard Brent discovered in 1985 that the [1] method (ECM) finds large numbers of natural numbers. ECMNET is here a large collection point for background knowledge, instructions, records and candidates that want to be factored.
An easier way to calculate ECM is to try it under BOINC in the project Yoyo@home. There is an ECM subproject that provides numbers and compiled clients.

This and that
The client is not precompiled and can be compiled by yourself. This is a bit more cumbersome, but ensures that you get the best possible version for your system. Since this is a bit more complicated, there is geocities.com/omboohankvald/ a guide (archive.org) for it.
In the meantime, this project can also be operated under BOINC, there under Yoyo@home as a subproject (ECM).
