OGR
Client fails on ARM 64
The client needs the lib /lib/ld-linux.so.3. If you don't have this library the client will fail. The following hacks have worked:
| Operating System | Hack |
|---|---|
| Ubuntu (e.g. on Odroid C2) | dpkg --add-architecture armhf apt-get update apt-get install binutils:armhf apt-get install libstdc++6:armhf apt-get install libstdc++6-armhf-cross apt-get install libc6-armhf-cross apt-get install libc.so.6 apt-get install libsfstdc++6 |
| Debian (e.g. on NanoPiM3) | If you have a /lib/ld-linux-armhf.so.3, do sudo ln -s /lib/ld-linux-armhf.so.3 /lib/ld-linux.so.3 |
Virus
Yoyo@home uses the original Distributed.net Client. It is possible, that some Anti-Virus programs mark the software as malicious (see German debate).
Since OGR-NG a lot less Anti-Virus programs mark the distributed.net Client as a trojan.
Currently (11.04.2009, Cruncher 2.12) version 2.9103.509 of the distributed.net Clients is used under Windows.
| Antivirus | Version | Result |
|---|---|---|
| CAT-QuickHeal | 10.00 | (Suspicious) - DNAScan |
| eSafe | 7.0.17.0 | Suspicious File |
| K7AntiVirus | 7.10.698 | Trojan.Win32.Malware |

To fix that, most Anti-Virus programs have the function to exclude some files or directories from their search. Using that funtcion, the Boincdirectory should be excluded.
