Diary
My passion for distributed computing began with RC5 (distributed.net - Der Diplomat). An exciting time ! I remember how I "harvested" the work units some times with floppy disks. Needless to say, that the second project, I participated in, was Seti@Home.
On July 15th, 2001 I joined the Team Seti.Germany. You konw, each addiction has to be cultivated.
It wasn't long before I found the site of RKN, which was led by Bananeweizen. On July 21st, 2001 I joined the forum.
Hunting for information I'm reading scientific news. The best ones are the results which are usable for everyone in their every day lives.
From week to week new projects appeared. That was the time I joined the computing team of RKN and crunched with them to push the stats.

How fast a wiki is outdated, landing on a 404 page and your own life requires longer absences from volunteer work. Nice to see that the engines behind Rechenkraft.net e.V. continue to work tirelessly. Dr. Michael H.W. Weber sets new impulses through his scientific work and cleverly positions the association.
