What is Cosm?

Cosm is a set of open protocols and applications that will allow distributed computers to work together on projects. It can be used for distributed computing projects. It was started on September 21st, 2000. The development of Phase 2 of the project began in 2003. Phase 2 includes the CosmFS, security guide lines, more tools and a more advanced client.
