Michael.

Mine now has reached almost 8000 hrs of runtime. I want it to complete...

Re: RNA World: seit einem Jahr im Dornröschenschlaf oder was
8000 hrs = 333.3 days. Nice! Keep it going!
I have 11 RNA World VM tasks running, and am actively looking to get 6 more.
The longest-running task that I have ... is currently 320.7 days. Almost as much as yours.
I take weekly backups, and have used them to recover 3 of the VMs, which was quite difficult but successful.

I tried RNA-World but the WUs didn't survive longer than 3 daysJacob Klein hat geschrieben:8000 hrs = 333.3 days. Nice! Keep it going!

I had one RNA-World WU running for 28 days. Then I also tried ATLAS again, which promptly killed the RNA-WUYeti hat geschrieben:I tried RNA-World but the WUs didn't survive longer than 3 daysJacob Klein hat geschrieben:8000 hrs = 333.3 days. Nice! Keep it going!

How did you diagnose that the RNA World WUs were dead?
I am regularly running RNA World WUs in parallel to ATLAS without any problems.

Re: RNA World: seit einem Jahr im Dornröschenschlaf oder was
Woot! -- I have reason to believe that one of my VMs is within 5 hours of completion.
I was doing some ... offline testing ... to see if I could push/punish this puny laptop even harder, and found that I can.
But... during my offline testing, the VM completed, and it looks like it might have been clean, without error.
So, I'm going to revert to my data folder backup copy, which I took while offline at the beginning of the 5 hour testing session.
... and, see if it can complete using my prior "not as punishing" settings!
It blows my mind, that ... during a 5 hour testing session (which I very very rarely do), a VM decides to complete. Coincidence? Or error in disguise.
I'll know tonight! I'm hopeful!
