Welche Erkenntnisse werden denn eigentlich bisher aus den MONSTER WUs gezogen ? Rentiert sich dass denn überhaupt ???

Das kann ich Dir noch nicht mit Sicherheit sagen. Wenn man cmsearch mit den voreingestellten Parametern laufen lässt, so wie das alle Wissenschaftler tun, dann sollte es "sehr" schnell laufen und dabei theoretisch nur einen "geringen" Teil an Dingen übersehen. Wie "gering" dieser Teil in der Praxis wirklich ist, das möchte ich gern überprüfen.

Well, almost 10100 hrs now and still running.
I hope this WU is still intact as it has now exceeded the initial run time estimation by three-fold.
At least it looks OK...

Habe am 25.9. nach über 5800 Stunden die WU 6431811 abgeschlossen.
Laut Tastübersicht wartet die WU auf Validation nach dem Server-Status wird da aber nichts validiert.
Die WU steht immer noch auf pending.

I have "Pending" tasks like that too. Chris and Michael can confirm... But I suspect that the "initial replication" was intentionally set to 1, because they have a 2nd result from some other run, and have to manually compare against yours.

Chris and Michael:
When will tasks like this be manually validated? The untimeliness is causing questions and concerns. I have a growing list of tasks that I have questions about, just like Rasch's task here. Isn't it just a matter of using WinMerge (or some other compare tool) to compare the single text file from each run?

Looks like that workunit needs the quorum changed to 2 in order for validation to work. It has initial replication of 2, but quorum of 3.
