Hi Michael, I'm from Czech National Team and I'm very interested in biomedical projects under BOINC. I was try to finish RNA WU.Now I have dual Xeon, 88 thread machine running 24/7 and very reliable with VM installed and want to crunch RNA too, possible to get some WUs to speed up calculate WUs for this project? Actually I have only 1 WU running on my 88 thread machine. Can I get more please? I think no problem to send all last units to much more users to get higher chance to finish that WUs than in today style, my WU looks like 200 days for calculation finish, so when I may spend this time, much more WUs are welcome. Look on my actual WU. Looks like more than 30 users cannot finish that WU because errors, cancel, problem with valiation etc. When you will send this WUs to much more users, you will get much bigger chance to speedup calculation.
And second question, what will be after last WUs finish? End of project or will be released next WUs in future?

Thank you for your response, Jirka (Dzordzik).

First of all thanks a lot for your interest in our project. :D
Unfortunately, we cannot assign tasks to individual users, so you will need to just keep requesting tasks. Howver, you may set the RNA World project priority higher than other projects such that your BOINC client(s) always first asks for RNA World tasks before it/they check(s) other BOINC project servers.

Regarding future plans for the project just briefly: RNA World is trying to complete a remaining batch of (rather old) tasks. After that we intend to update the entire system, integrate new applications (e.g. to additionally work with molecular dynamics simulations (such as GPUGRID - but of course with RNA relevance)) and add some features such as a public results database and a more informative screensaver.

Michael.

This is my August 2019 plea for Task Validation Maintenance.
I now have 19 tasks that appear to be ready for validation.
This is frustrating.

This is my September 2019 plea for Task Validation Maintenance.
Can we please have a round of validation?

Do you have any better estimate on how much longer that might take?
