Virtual Box install problem.

I have, at various times, downloaded installers for 4.3.6, 4.3.8 and 4.3.10. All fail to install on my Win XP system because of "an error", no further info is given, simply that an error has occured. I am, as a result, unable to support the project at this time.

I think I saw a post on virtualbox somewhere that XP is not supported anymore. The RNA World Head scientist also encountered this problem. You may try the earlier version 4.2.16 which may work on XP.

4.2.16 gives the same, rather vague, error. The VirtualBox I have, 4.1.4, runs fine with LHC work units, so it is not catastrophic. I'll probably move to a newer Windows soon, or dump Windows altogether, so a solution will present itself at some time.

Out of curiosity, and if you wouldn't mind humoring me... Are you sure you had all programs closed at the time of installation? And also, could you post a screenshot of the error you received during installation?
