Not enough time allowed for deadline

Hello,

I have the same problem with that WU : http://www.rnaworld.de/rnaworld/workuni ... id=6093568
Task : http://www.rnaworld.de/rnaworld/result. ... d=14880984

Seems cannot communicate with the server but other projets are OK.
The WU currently runs for 1277 hours ! (elapsed time 1461 ; remaining 3539 ; % done : 19,61% )

The deadline was on... 4th feb !

I have been making the task http://www.rnaworld.de/rnaworld/result. ... d=14896232 and the the time expected to finish was not enough so I am not going to finish within the deadline, I should need 3 more days to finish it and the deadline is 28 March. i will finish anyway since I am doing it for 3 days now.

Can someone help me?

I extended the deadline. You have now more time to deliver the result. You see the extended deadline on the rna world server web page.

I think that I am going to hold off on running any more tasks until this project updates Infernal to version 1.1. I have been losing a lot of time due to various problems, most recently a crash of Windows 8, which resulted in the deletion of the snapshot files from Virtualbox, where I had several tasks running (one of which was at 100%). When Infernal is updated, tasks that were previously 3000 hours will only take 30 hours (or less if multithreading is implemented). This will make the tasks much more manageable and solve the shortage of short tasks. The update will also make the time contribution much more worthwhile.

Thanks anyway yoyo. I had a power problem and the computer restarted so I lost all the crunching made. I decided to abort the task after that.

to be precise.

extending deadline to 20th April would be the best, considering one of them have still 250 hours left (164 hours done on each of them already). They are very non-uniform in difficulty. Some are at 30% some are actually at 90%, and one is actually at 100%, but still computing.

I am holding any new computations, and switching back to Einstein@Home, because deadlines are ridiculusly unrealistic. :/

Actually other computations also may need adjusting deadlines. Some other tasks have estimated time of 1500 hours, and I just made 10% od that, but deadline is only 25th April, but 1500 hours is 62 days! And my computer isn't slow either.
