cmsearch 0.02 mac
Re: cmsearch 0.02 mac
I am not sure why BOINC reports Mac OS X 10.4 as Darwin 8. Nonetheless, the current binaries use a function for loading dynamic libraries that was only introduced until 10.5.6 (not exactly sure about the minor version). Our next application release will hopefully also support 10.4. It hasn't been a priority for now because there are only few people that still use 10.4 or below.
Re: cmsearch 0.02 mac
I did a little more research and it turns out that BOINC reports the OS version correctly. It is important to keep in mind that Darwin and Mac OS are not the same thing. They are both operating systems, but Mac OS is based on Darwin as its core component set. Mac OS adds its defining things like Cocoa and Aqua. If you look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darwin_(operating_system) you can see which Mac OS X version was based on which Darwin version. For example, Mac OS X 10.6.4 is based on Darwin 10.4.0 and Mac OS X 10.4 is based on Darwin 8.x. For the next release, we will make sure that it also runs on Darwin 8.
Re: cmsearch 0.02 mac
All my WUs crash with the same error on MacOS 10.5.8 :
Code: Alles auswählen
...
process got signal 5
</message>
<stderr_txt>
dyld: unknown required load command 0x80000022
...
Re: cmsearch 0.02 mac
We just released a new version of the application that runs on Mac OS X 10.4 and above which fixes the problem you described.
Re: cmsearch 0.02 mac
Now I got some new errros with 0.05:
I guess this a SDK related problem.
Code: Alles auswählen

process got signal 5
