For reference, since I keep track of the "useless estimations", here they were:
- Web reference: AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 250 Processor -- 93d 8:23:22 -- 13w 2d 8h 23m 22s (8065402.1494372 s)
- VM Console estimate: 113d 22:10:31 -- 9843031 s
- Progress started sticking at 98.765% -- 126 days
.... so yeah, pretty useless in my opinion.

Unfortunately, it wasn't his old v1.17 task, so ... still working on that one

Since that was his last v1.17 task... I can:
1) Convert him, FROM: "Get 'er DONE" mode (Use at most 50% CPUs), TO: "Do the most SCIENCE" mode (Use at most 100% CPUs)
2) Carefully upgrade VirtualBox from 5.0.x to 5.1.x (tomorrow, will test and hopefully use 5.1.26)
3) Use Insider partitions again (tomorrow, will test and hopefully use Fast Ring .... then... sigh... reinstall all my apps!)

P.S. to last message. Computer may have rebooted automatically by windows update that caused it to restart. Event viewer shows updates installed this morning in my absence and an unclean shutdown (which is odd). I would have expected the long running task to continue where it left off though.

Ouch. Looks like the PC had an abnormal restart, right in the middle of a checkpoint taking a snapshot! See below, from your log.
That's ... an inherent weakness of these tasks, I think, sadly.
