From this recent Evolution news item it sounds like they're still going to be using Simulator005 for a while as well as a new Simulator006:
The future

What will the future bring? Well, lots more simulators, more ease of use and more scientific results - and of course more participants, at least that's what we all hope on the long term. More tangible short term goals include the following:

* Develop Simulator006. More on that later, but there is good reason to hope that there will be a new simulator very soon.
* Improve the interaction with BOINC and the results management in the background.
* Improve Simulator005 and the high scores management system to full automation. This is one of our long-standing problems.
* Write up the next analysis of Muller's ratchet.
* Develop this blog into something that keeps readers well informed about various aspects of evolutionary research.

Aren't we still doing good for the project by running Simulator005?

The running work units for Simulator 005 are needed and good. But there is quite a big amount of this already crunched. Now there is more need for longer work units (longer than all current running evos). They are longer than 2 days (on a 500MHz processor). Because of missing checkpoints I didn't send them.
I hope that checkpoints will be available in future for Simulator 005 also. In this case I will send longer work units also for Simulator 005.

I created some new work units for evo.

I want them, my PC is running 24/7, I have already downloaded the original client to help evo with the long Simulations, but I'd really want to crunch them through yoyo. I don't want to take care of the results manually.
Please find a way.
