Thank you!

Seems like we underestimated the interest in yoyo@home, so the cronjob creating work was set too low. I am creating new work now, you should recognize the work flow going on soon.

Rechner Projekt Datum Meldung
h967745.serverkompetenz.net yoyo@home 22.08.2007 22:30:49 Message from server: No work sent
h967745.serverkompetenz.net yoyo@home 22.08.2007 22:30:49 Message from server: (reached daily quota of 100 results)

In addition to the daily quota, I am also running into another limit:
8/22/2007 6:13:11 PM|yoyo@home|Sending scheduler request: To fetch work
8/22/2007 6:13:11 PM|yoyo@home|Requesting 11369 seconds of new work
8/22/2007 6:13:16 PM|yoyo@home|Scheduler RPC succeeded [server version 511]
8/22/2007 6:13:16 PM|yoyo@home|Message from server: No work sent
8/22/2007 6:13:16 PM|yoyo@home|Message from server: (reached per-host limit of 20 tasks)
As for the daily limit, I think it should be increased from 100 per machine, to 100 per CPU.

Thanks!

Seems like I underestimated the need again. Sorry for that, new work is being created. As for the daily limit, I fear we have to wait for Yoyo being back, as I can't change it.

I would not expect yoyo to be up to serve any amount of demand for WUs.
It's a test project, for f*** sake, it's testing the wrapping of other DC-projects (or other programs at all) in BOINC. It's fine that yoyo has managed to include a useful project and is doing something worthwhile during this tests, but I don't think it should be his first concern to make stress tests on his server in this state.
Be patient, crunch other projects besides yoyo, and wait 'til the next stage of testing has arrived.

The problem is not the server being too slow (yoyo@home was transfered to a quick server two weeks ago), but the settings for automated work generation and daily quota. I don't have much experience with boinc and I am happy to be able to manually create new workunits, so that said, it is better to wait for yoyo being back.

Concerning the status of this project, there are still some problems (no checkpoints) and minor bugs, so we consider it beta status. Apart from that, OGR25 will keep running and you are welcome to crunch as much as you want (but please inform us, before you start races or sth like that ) - the integration of additional projects will surely take some time.

I'm not sure why you are saying all this. No one has complained about anything, or made any demands (at least not in this thread). We just let the admins know that there was no work, and that we were running into limit walls. It is of course up to them if they want to take any action.

Sorry if it was taken as too rude, I seem to have misunderstood you.
And as frost just informed me in the chat the server has lots of capacities to deal with more, I hope as well yoyo will come back and deal with it.
