won't finish in time ... or does it?

#1 Ungelesener Beitrag von Dj Ninja » 28.04.2015 09:40

Well, your project isn't very usable to me too ... because:
yoyo@home | (won't finish in time) Computer on 98.8% of time, BOINC on 100.0% of that, this project gets 12.5% of that
Is there a chance that the server is giving this decision to me? BOINC is simply way too stupid to let it consider about such things. It doesn't get it either if the host is out of work within two hours or not. All other projects are paused on this host, your server still believes that he can't get more than 12.5% of compute time. Looks like every day's typical wannabe-useful but not functional crap from berkeley to me, but maybe there is a way around or an option to disable this "feature" on my account.

Thanks.

How have you stoped the other projects? You must stop the other projects. Setting them to "no new work" isn't considered as stoped.

Yes. All other projects have "no new work" and "suspended" via the manager. That's why I'm declaring this feature as not functional.

Don't know, but problem is severe. Another problem is that one of my machines with eight real CPU-Cores can't get more than one WU per scheduler request - even when all eight cores are idling at the time of the request. According to the manager, this WU will run for 21 hours, the DCF seems to be not the cause. After eight requests have been performed, all cores are working - but caching more WUs is not possible.

Now scheduler request errors too (Error 400 - very useful). Kicked your project. I'm sorry but it doesn't work.

I enabled the project (have a lot of others suspended) and got on the first try 33 muon tasks.

Thank you for trying. I wanted to do OGR, but with no luck.

It's a project related forum and because of that I decided to write in english. Nice training... ;)

But if there are points given for speaking english, I take as much as I can get. ;)
