Siever workunits will not download
I have been running ECM workunits (only) for a while without any problems, but want to switch to Siever workunits (only).
So I changed the yoyo@home preferences accordingly.
However, no workunits are downloaded, instead I get a message: "No work available for the applications you have selected. Please check your settings on the web site."
Server Status page shows there are plenty of workunits.
If I set preferences to Cruncher (only), workunits are downloaded and start processing just fine.
Am I missing something?
Regards,
Ruud

Re: Siever workunits will not download
I mean this.
Siever, ecm and Cruncher are applikations, and the variety of operating systems is different for each one.
For Windows there should be no problem, so I guess not getting work has another reason.

Re: Siever workunits will not download
Thank you for your explanation.
I know there should not be any problem to run Siever on a Windows machine, because I have been running it in the past.
That is why I don't understand why it will not download anymore.
Maybe somebody comes up with an idea.
Thanks anyway,
Ruud

Re: Siever workunits will not download
I know it's been years but did you ever find a solution? I am now running ECM tasks and want to switch to Siever tasks but it isn't sending me any today and yes there are plenty and I'm running Windows. For some reason my pc keeps asking for AMD tasks but Yoyo doesn't have any apps for gpu's.kroefr hat geschrieben: ↑27.11.2020 10:21Thank you for your explanation.

Re: Siever workunits will not download
I’ve had a similar issue not too long ago, and in my case it wasn’t the OS but something in the project setup. A few things you could try:
Make sure that only Siever is selected in your yoyo@home preferences — both on the website and in your local BOINC Manager.
Check that “Allow new tasks” is enabled for the project in BOINC.
Force an update (right-click the project → Update) a couple of times — sometimes the scheduler needs a few attempts.
Look in the Event Log (Ctrl+Shift+E in BOINC Manager) for any messages about “work fetch deferred” or “not requesting tasks for CPU,” as they can explain why nothing is downloading.
What solved it for me was resetting the project and re-attaching — after that, Siever workunits started coming in again without issues.
Hope this helps someone else who runs into the same wall.
