Why is the limit so low?

Why can't I get enough work on my dual 64 core, 128 thread EPYC to run this project?

Out of 256 threads I got 128 tasks running and it wont download anymore.

So 50% of the system is just idling because yoyo@home can't send me more work.

Additionally, it took me 4 HOURS to get 128 tasks because the server would only send me 1 task at a time.

Why is this so limited?

Oh and before someone comments "Siever says its out of work..."

As soon as 1 task completed it sent me another one.

This could easily be fixed on my end. If I could just start a second instance on the host to grab another 128 tasks to keep both of my CPUs busy, but nope. The admin blocks multiple instances.

I have informed Yoyo on this.
And you shouldn't come to the premature conclusion that our "admin blocks multiple instances".
Even the BOINC software has a number of technical limitations and the Yoyo@home server version, for certain reasons, is not the most recent one.

I increased max number of cpus, so you should get more.
The server is configured to send you up to 50 wus per request. If you get lessm your BOINC requests less.
