Hi,
I'm asking here because a friend of mine doesn't speak German and ask me about the manual citizen science projects like Galaxy Zoo.
He also has a great idea and would need people to manualy do things. They have to watch images and then filtering it for a pattern and then marking the area, where it is. and of courese there has to be som derivate afterwards (taaking the area, the image time, the coordinates, ....) for the next steps.
Is there an open source solution for it, like BOINC? Hopefully, he hasn't to code it for his own .
best regards,
Andreas

I'm not aware of an out-of-the-box open source solution, but have you tried contacting the guys behind Zooniverse about it and proposed another project? The say they are always looking for new ideas/projects.

hi,
I think bossa.berkeley.edu is what you are looking for. Just yesterday I thought about to setup such a project and started to read some docu.
