cyaGreetings,
We have updated versions of the PeerNode clients. The Windows GUI version has been updated to resolve some issues users were experiencing. If you are running a command line version of the PeerNode client you do not have to upgrade, unless you wish to take advantage of the new software product detailed below.
An important announcement for this weekend is that we now have a special piece of software called the PeerNode Network Monitor. This new program allows you to monitor the status of networked PeerNodes!
Simply run the new PeerNode Network Monitor on a machine and let all of the PeerNodes know the IP address of the monitor and you'll quickly know whether a PeerNode is running, when it last submitted a result, and the status of the result submitted.
This will allow PeerNode operators to monitor a cluster of PeerNodes with one simple to use tool! Download the new pnnetmon.zip file and read the readme.txt file for details.
DC teams might consider setting up a central PeerNode Network Monitor and having all of their members point their PeerNode clients to the central location. This allows a DC team leader to gather statistics for their team!
Important: To use the new PeerNode Network Monitor you'll need to update to the new PeerNode clients. The older PeerNode clients do not have the ability to broadcasts their status.
