The project Outsmart Ebola Together was launched on December 3rd, 2014. The goal is the search for drugs for the treatment of Ebola.
Ebola is a virus. The disease ends fatal in 90% of all cases. Outsmart Ebola Together in World Community Grid wants to find agents to treat this viral disease.

According to a News of October 3rd, 2018, the current phase of the project will be completed in the next three or four weeks. The scientists have collected enough data. In total, 350 million results were reported back by the participants in this distributed computing project. These are beeing investigated. Only then it will be decided whether additional computational work will be needed.
