Re: Run Times
Same here! 9hrs and still runnning.zombie67 hat geschrieben:Have Run Times recently increased? Until the last day or so, run times have been <1000 sec. Now I am seeing run times of several hours or more. Did something change?
yoyo has no influence on the run times, we crunch what we get from OGR. Unfortunately OGR WUs have great differences in run time.

My longest to date is 13.2 hours, and this is on an Intel Xeon X5355 @ 2.66GHz! I have another already at 15.25 hours on the same machine and still going. Maybe we won't be needing the daily limit raised after all.

Has anyone else noticed this:
I suspened all of the other working projects on one of my single core non-HT CPU's so that I could get some new yoyo WU's and start crunching. After I saw that a yoyo WU had started I re-enabled the other projects except for climate prediction, as I knew that it would put itself as the primary cruncher due to its pending finish date. After many hours I noticed that the yoyo WU was still working and that none of the other projects had been given a chance. Then I found out, thru this board, that the current state of WU's are very long. Since the yoyo WU had a much earlier finish date, 8-29-07, vs the Climate unit I re-enabled the climate WU. The process immediately went to the Climate WU. I noticed that the timer on the yoyo WU was still increasing. When I looked at the task manager I saw a 50-50 split in processing power between the Climate WU and the yoyo WU.
And this is a single core, non-HT CPU! I know that XTREMLAB WU's do that if you get one started and then re-enable any paused WU's from other projects.
I am curious if this WU will finish succesfully or not.

I've had that on my dual core so that it appeared that I had 4 processes running! They seemed to share resources and running time but all 4 appeared to run at near half speed. They all finished okay though.Viking69 hat geschrieben:Has anyone else noticed this:

Well my units that were running in parallel seemed to have finished.
All of my PENDING work is being co-run by jesusnt and this users PC's are haveing lots of units aborted by the server and not meeting deadlines. I see that jesusnt had crunched a lot of WU's but jesusnt also seems to be downloading a lot more than they can possible finish.
Can anything be done?
