Unexpectedly, I got another RNA World WU, recently, too.
It's not that big but will also run for at least a month, I guess.

It is the parameterized analysis of just a bacterial genome but with one of the most complex RNA family profiles.
I am running it on the machine where I recently had to cancel one of the monster WUs after > 15.000 hrs of run time. Of course, BOUNC and Virtualbox have been updated beforehand...

Still crunching forward!
- Several of my tasks have reached the 300-day milestone, or are near.
- Speed has just set a personal best - Working on his biggest task yet, now at 285.2d CPU time! :P
- Racer X has ALSO just set a personal best - Working on his biggest task yet, now at 309.2d CPU time! :P

- Racer X gets occasional blue screens with the new Windows Insider Fast build. But so far, it hasn't interfered with the VM tasks, which have been resuming without problem (Hurray Rom!)
- Speed is soon going to take a small break, as he travels with me across the country, for my bi-annual LAN party in Louisville KY (LanWar)!
- I'm still anxiously hoping that the v1.17 tasks complete... Come on already!

The race is on!

- Racer X just COMPLETED his largest task ever - 318.8d CPU time - WOOT!
- He's now looking for a replacement task to start work on.
- Unfortunately, though it was a v1.17 task, he still has another v1.17 task, so cannot upgrade VirtualBox.

- Nitro had a full system freeze, that forced me to revert to a backup on one of the VMs, successfully, only losing 5 days of work. :)
- Speed is back from his vacation. Back to work!!

- All 4 PCs now have just 1 v1.17 task each, and are racing to be the first to upgrade to VirtualBox 5.1.x :)
COME ON!

Windows 10 Insider Fast Ring Build 16237, changes things such that Oracle's fragile VirtualBox code doesn't work with it. I've notified Oracle. This is the first time in several months, I think, where VirtualBox got broken by a Build :)

I've spent the past 2 days, updating the "Slow Ring" partitions on my 4 PCs (which triple boot between Fast/Slow/Release)... so I can continue crunching. It looks like I made no mistakes, and all 4 PCs are operational on Slow Ring partitions using Build 16232.

Fun! ;)

Oracle has now acknowledged the break, and has plans to fix it sometime next week.

Each of my 4 PCs still has a v1.17 task that requires VirtualBox v5.0.x.
The following page:
https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Download_Old_Builds
... says:
VirtualBox 5.0 (no longer supported, support ended 2017/05)
I don't anticipate Oracle updating/fixing VirtualBox v5.0.x.

So, in addition to setting my 4 PCs to Slow Ring partitions to keep cruching, I'm also transitioning them all to "Get 'er DONE" mode, where I essentially set BOINC to "Use at most 50% CPUs", so other tasks won't hyperthread to compete for CPU resources, while the v1.17 tasks complete. Fun fun!

Updates - Oracle:
- Oracle released VirtualBox v5.1.24, which fixes their issue with Windows 10 Fast Ring builds.
- However, as expected, v5.0.x remains unsupported and unfixed.
- Requests for an official answer regarding updating v5.0.x, have gone unanswered. It's very unlikely to happen.

Updates - My progress:
- None of my 4 PCs have completed their final v1.17 tasks... yet. :( So, they're stuck running VirtualBox v5.0.x on Slow Ring partitions.
- All 4 of my hyperthreaded PCs are now in "Get 'er DONE" mode, running "HALF THREADS" (Use at most 50% of the CPUs), to get the v1.17 tasks done as quickly as possible, since it seems Oracle won't fix v5.0.x.
- RacerX is still looking for a third task.
- Come on PCs - YOU CAN DO IT.
