Re: WUs?
This is a bit misleading as there is one task "stuck" that for an unknown reason does not get send. Unfortunately no one has time right now to fix this.X1900AIW hat geschrieben:See "Tasks ready to send" in Server status.

Re: WUs?
Maybe once again a brief feedback:
We have spent the past year on
(1) trying to complete most of the left "monster" tasks,
(2) implementing a number of improvements (the latest was the update of the vbox wrapper),
(3) working out new applications (most importantly a molecular docking pipeline),
(4) the setup of our wetlab (virtually completed now).
We also have incorporated user job submission interfaces (will be announced shortly) which represents quite a milestone in distributed computing since, to the best of our knowledge, these are the first public job submission interfaces for a distributed computing project worldwide.
This year, I hope that we manage to
(1) update the scientific core software to the latest version,
(2) resume regular project operation with continuous work for all platforms with all kinds of run times,
(3) implement ARM support (the clients are ready since a while),
(4) add additional scientific applications (such as the docking pipeline),
(5) submit a set of papers with the computational results achieved so far,
(6) start with the first lab experiments.
So, that is quite a bit of work ahead of us.
Michael.

Re: WUs?
I checked the server. Saw nothing but the 1 stuck task. Was hoping there would be some more VM tasks in the works.X1900AIW hat geschrieben:See "Tasks ready to send" in Server status.

Re: WUs?
They do come around I know, I just got one a couple of days ago. (whether it is actually doing anything is another question I'm putting in another post)nanoprobe hat geschrieben:I checked the server. Saw nothing but the 1 stuck task. Was hoping there would be some more VM tasks in the works.

Re: WUs?
I received a long running VM task(looks like a resend) but after 36 hours of running it was only 0.10% completed. Today I came home to find it not running with this message:
1/30/2016 8:40:54 PM | RNA World | task postponed 86400.000000 sec: VM Hypervisor failed to enter an online state in a timely fashion.
Postponed for a day? What's up with that?

Re: WUs?
That is a security measure so the vboxwrapper does not fail immediately but try again later after you probably restarted the machine and cleared the problem with VirtualBox that the vboxwrapper couldn't solve on its own.
Re: WUs?
I've restarted the computer twice but the task runs for 10-15 minutes and then stops again. The last 2 numbers on this task are _11. Does that indicate it has already been sent out 11 times before I got it? Any suggestions before I abort it?

Re: WUs?
Can you post the last lines of the stderr.txt so I can see why it is getting unmanageable? Normally we can't do anything about that because it mostly is VirtualBox related.

Re: WUs?
This means VirtualBox couldn't start the VM but you can only find the reason in the VBox.log. If you know where to find that I would be interested in this too (I'll ususally look in the VirtualBox Manager but I don't know if you see the RNA VM on windows there). It's rather long sometimes. If not you should cancel the task as I don't know why it's not starting.
