Re: Long running work unit
Well, this looks to me as if the WU has been validated among 5 others already (and therefore was deleted from the system) OR should be handed out again by the server.
Christian might know more about this one...

Re: Long running work unit
This is one of the newly send batch that need "manual" validation. The validation is happening with another task that was calculated using the cmsearch XXL application. In your case this is:
Job: http://www.rnaworld.de/rnaworld/workuni ... id=6304329
Task: http://www.rnaworld.de/rnaworld/result. ... d=14911685

Re: Long running work unit
@Christian: Could you please email me the (presumably successful) VM result(s) and the one from MLx?
Michael.

Re: Long running work unit
There are several of those. I'll try to run them through the validator on the server when I'm back from Budapest.

Re: Long running work unit
I started a manual validation run and found 53 pairs which I checked. The results where inconclusive so I send them to Michael who will do a more through comparison. As far as I could see did the results from MLx fail the automatic test (which needs to be verified). But you will get Credits in the end.
Re: Long running work unit
I am currently running this Task:http://www.rnaworld.de/rnaworld/result. ... d=14949882 I have been at this for more then 2 weeks at 340 hours. The Work unit maintains a slow but constant decrease in overall work hours to go of nearly 2880 remaining. The time frame also shows just 10% completed, is this normal?
Running a Windows 7 Ultimate OS on a AMD FX-8350 with 4 Gig RAM per CPU.
Should I continue till the end or discontinue at this time?

Re: Long running work unit
Hi,
crunching this WU.
Yesterday was the state :
Progress : 99.995% ... (by this time was linear progress)
Time elapsed : 3604:50:43
Time remaining : 00:08:52
After a few (43) minutes :
Progress : 98.765% ... (occurred leap backwards)
Time elapsed : 3605:33:11
Time remaining : 45:05:07
This morning :
Progress : 98.765%
Time elapsed : 3615:03:14
Time remaining : 45:12:15
Now :
Progress : 98.765% ... (still same value)
Time elapsed : 3623:28:41
Time remaining : 45:18:34
What went wrong, it is a normal state?
Can I do complete the calculation of this unit? It would be a shame to miss almost half a year.
PC goes still without power off, VirtualBox still running and process occupies core.
Thank, Vit.

Re: Long running work unit
By the time your post got unlocked the task errored out. I don't know what happened seems like an exception within the vboxwrapper or VirtualBox.Nflight hat geschrieben:I am currently running this Task:http://www.rnaworld.de/rnaworld/result. ... d=14949882 I have been at this for more then 2 weeks at 340 hours. yes this is the normal state for when the app underestimated the runtime. The 98,765% is just a number I used to make this recognizable. The app is still calculating but we can't say anything about the progress so it is fixed for this task from now on.
Re: Long running work unit
Yes the work unit did kick out, and I sure hope I can download more work units in the future. But, right now no work units are coming in to my work cue. I do understand that all work units even if they cancel themselves out will be reviewed and credit will be handed out, is this correct? Just because nearly 688 hours of operation should get some credit for all those hours of crunching data!ChristianB hat geschrieben:By the time your post got unlocked the task errored out.
