Cruncher application updated
Re: Cruncher application updated
I know, I chatted with Mike from distributed.net yesterday. The performance improvement of the new clients is ~1-10% on some processors. I'll update the app when I have more time.

Re: Cruncher application updated
Why are PS3 credits so low? Surely I should be getting better than 25 credits per hour. That's 600 a day! I could do that on a Pentium 3. It's not worth the electricity, the noise, or the heat generated. Don't SPU's put out like GPU's?
EDIT: Well actually it's 25 per 10 minutes. That's more like 3600 a day, which isn't so bad, but IMO it could still be double that.
I guess I could be happy with 3600. I'll shut up now.

Re: Cruncher application updated
Some of the new OGR WUs seem to be running for ~ 57 hours and then aborting with a "Maximum elapsed time exceeded" error. An example:
Code: Alles auswählen
<core_client_version>7.2.39</core_client_version>
<![CDATA[
<message>
Maximum elapsed time exceeded
</message>
<stderr_txt>
Re: Cruncher application updated
Thanks for the hint.
The ogr-28 workunits seems to need much longer. But I distribute.net said it shouldn't be all workunits so long.
I doubled the maximum allowed execution time.
