PoorBoy hat geschrieben:Yoyo, this is a PlayStation3 thats running this Wu, as far as I know only 1 Wu will run @ a time on the PS3's. There are other Projects Attached to the PS3 but the Wu's aren't running, only the Yoyo Wu is running as far as I know.
I know from some other users, that there are problems, if you have e.g. PS3GRID attached in parallel and Boinc switches the project after some time. This can lead to hanging wus in both projects. Therefore only workunits of one project should be in the queue.

The chkpoint file won't open up into anything thats readable by me ... ??? I'll try and remember running Wu's from 1 Project only from now on Yoyo but it's a little late for that now, I'm close to 70 hr's into the Yoyo Wu, 40 hr's into a SETI Astropulse Wu & 8 Hr's into a PS3Grid Wu, which 2 do I get rid of at this point ???

The checkpoint file is not readable. But you can watch the timestamp of this file if the timestamp changes.
I would suggest, that you stop all other projects on the PS3 and keep only one running. In this case boinc can't switch and no application is keept in memory and occupies some ressources (e.g. some SPE's).

Ahhhhh Okay, the Properties say Modified @ 08:01:28 & Accessed by me @ 08:09:55 ... so if it's checkpointing then the file should be Modified again around 08:16:28 or shortly after if I'm reading you right ... ???

The file Updated itself @ 08:21:28 so thats about 20 min's between Checkpoints, I'll leave it run until tonight or another 12-14 hr's& make checks on the chkpoint file to make sure it's Updating. As long as it is I'll leave it run but if it's not done by then I'm going to Abort it because I'll be well over 80 hr's on it & thats more than enough time to waste on 1 Wu I figure ...

Trying another Cruncher 1.20 Wu here after giving it a rest & it looks like I may have a problem already. the Wu started out @ 175+ hr's which is normal from what I've been told but after 2 hr's it's still @ 175+ hr's, don't know if that is normal or not ??? I stopped the PS3 & re-started it and started BOINC back up and the Wu took off about 5 min less than from where I stopped it so it must be check pointing anyway. It's also the only Wu running as there are no other Wu's on the PS3 @ the moment or calling for any either ...

PS: The Wu has finished and received Credit so I guess it was okay, this no % Progression showing and at times no Time reduction throws me off I guess and makes me wonder if somethings wrong. The next Wu has started and showing some Time reduction already ... :)
