Euler625 WU finishing times

#1 Ungelesener Beitrag von Jwb52z » 30.05.2011 13:55

Has anyone else here noticed that the time to complete WU for Euler625 has nearly doubled lately?

My times, until yesterday averaged between 1 hour and 50 minutes to 2 hours and 30 minutes usually, but now they're taking over 4 hours and nothing has changed on my system.

Looks like a heat problem throttles the cpu. Check your temps.

I don't know how to check the temperature. Also, today they're up to nearly 5 hours, but my laptop is working fine. I am thinking it's the heat outside, despite the air conditioning. It's in the 90s F now here.

To answer as the developer of the code: the workunits designed in such a way that it takes 4-8 GHz hours to complete a workunit. This is measured on Amd Athlon.
