ogr progress stuck

#1 Ungelesener Beitrag von uwheel » 29.11.2010 20:04

Hi
I am running ogr 2.16 for the first time and it seems to be stuck at 85.714%.
I see Elapsed time goes from 8:15:00 to 8:45:00 and then status suspends and then restarts back to 8:15.
Is this normal behavior?
Thanks.

yes thats totally normal with the OGR WUs because one boinc WU consists of seven parts (giving you an increase of 14% on the progress meter per part). the running time of these seven parts varies in a wide range and can't be computed at the beginning or at the time the WU is created. so you get very short WUs which are completed within a few minutes and very long WUs which can run more than a day at the same time.

the progress indicator is updated when a part of the WU is finished only, not continuously. you might think the WU is stuck at 86%, but it's still working on the last part. it will go to 100% directly after the last part is finished. just keep it running, it may take several hours in which the progress meter doesn't move but it will finish.

OK its still going and running more than 111 hours on one of the CPUs (2GHz) (the advanced view which is totally off, now shows Elapsed 10:30:29 with 01:48:24 to completion). I guess if this is normal... maybe the report deadline should be pushed out. :uhoh:
Thanks.
